Key person

Little Owls uses a key person approach. This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom she/he is particularly responsible. Your child’s key person will be the individual who works with you to make sure that the teaching that we provide is right for your child’s particular needs and interests. When your child first starts at Little Owls, this mentor will help your child to settle and throughout your child’s time at the nursery school. He/she will help your child to benefit from all of our activities.

Staff ratios

Little Owls will have the following staffing ratio, in line with the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Children aged two and a half years: 1 adult : 4 children:

Children aged three years and over: 1 adult : 8 children:

Little Owls will carry out checks for criminal and other records through the Criminal Records Bureau in accordance with statutory requirements.
