Pupils of any age can attend the optional Afternoon Clubs, which happen on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Children bring a packed lunch to school and stay until 3.15 p.m. At the end of each term parents will be given a list of the clubs available for the following term.
Please note Afternoon Clubs start the Tuesday after a school term begins. There are no Afternoon Clubs in the last week of term.
Some of our Afternoon Clubs have included:
Forest School – Children are escorted to a local park where they spend two hours with trained forest school teachers in a designated area of woods. It encompasses a range of outdoor activities such as field study activities, sensory games, team building, wildlife conservation, imaginative activities, physical play, woodland arts and crafts, and bush craft. This is a favorite of most of the children.
Cooking Club - The Children spend the afternoon at school cooking delicious treats to take home with them. Some of the dishes we have cooked have included: pizzas, owl cupcakes and banana with white chocolate muffins! Yum Yum
Science Club - The afternoon is spent exploring the weird and wonderful world of science. Activities include making lava lamps, making volcanoes and growing crystals.
Yoga and drama - The Children learn to stretch their bodies in a range of ways whilst practicing breathing exercises. Teachers get the children to act out a different story line each week which includes various yoga positions.
