Poppy Scott Plummer - Director (Co-owner)

Having lived in the area for the last five years, Poppy knows many local parents and values the community feeling within Brook Green. She feels strongly about quality education and providing the building blocks needed to start children having fun learning. Her daughter was one of the first students at Little Owls.

Poppy’s career history includes being Head of Development at a political think-tank and a Governor at Oxford Gardens Primary school for five years. She has a BA in Politics and an MA in European Politics from the College of Europe, Bruges. She is a lay member of the local Triborough Safeguarding Children’s Board and is the Executive Director of Little Owls nursery school.

Poppy has completed her Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and Basic Life Support Training.

About Us

Christine Sadek- Manager (Co-owner)

Christine is a trained Early Years Practitioner with both her CACHE level 3 Early Years Care and Education diploma and her CACHE level 4 Children’s Care, Learning and Development Diploma. She has over twenty years of experience in the Early Years sector, the last eight of these years being a manager.

Christine has attended various continuous professional training courses over the years including: Multi Agency Safeguarding and Child Protection training, Pediatric First Aid training, Special Education Needs training, Behavior Management training, Manual Handling training, Safer Recruitment, Observation and Assessment planning and Makaton signing and visual support.

Christine has two children of her own and having supported them through their schooling she understands the importance of early years education and positive experiences.

Christine has her Basic Life Support Training.

Stephanie Wilson – Deputy Manager, Head of Lower Nursery and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinater)

Stephanie is an experienced teacher with a Bachelor of Education (Teaching) and a Masters of Special Education. She has extensive experience working in Early Years and primary schools in New Zealand as well as England.

She really enjoys working with children, and helping them to achieve their highest potential in a caring and fun environment.

Some of the continuous professional development she has recently completed at Little owls includes: Pediatric First Aid, Growing Food for Schools, Physical Activity in Early Years and Teaching Jolly Phonics.

Sandra Davis –Head of Upper Nursery, Early Years Teacher

Sandra has over 20 years experience in the early years sector including working in primary schools, private, state, management, self employed child minder and not to forget motherhood!

She has her NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing and a Degree in Early Childhood studies.

Some of the continuous professional development she has recently completed at Little owls includes: Pediatric First Aid, Numicon, Teaching Jolly Phonics, Promoting Positive Behavior, Fire Safety in Education and Effective Safeguarding Practice. 

Sandra speaks fluent portugese and leads our Minimovers sessions.

Selina Morris – Upper Nursery, Early Years Teacher

Selina has a BA in Early Years (Education and Leadership Practice), an Early Years Foundation Degree and a Level 3 in Child Care and Education. She has worked in many nurseries over the years, most recently Monkey Puzzle with the Pre-school children.

She enjoys family time, traveling abroad and painting in an abstract style.

Some of the continuous professional development she has recently completed at Little owls includes: Pediatric First Aid, My Time Active Sports and Teaching Jolly Phonics.

 



Sara Gonzalez – Lower Nursery, Early Years Teacher

Sara has a Bachelor of Education (Teaching) and extensive experience as an Early Years teacher working in high schools, primary schools, and nurseries in her home country Spain. She really enjoys getting creative with the children especially during activities such painting and singing.

Some of the continuous professional development she has recently completed at Little owls includes: Pediatric First Aid, Physical Activities for Under Fives and Teaching Jolly Phonics.





Camilla Loyd - Early Years Practitioner

Camilla has a Masters Degree in Agriculture and a BA Hons in Psychology from Bristol University. She is currently finishing her Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.

She really enjoys working with children and has worked atlot of other nurseries including  Miss Daisy’s Nursery, Bright Walton Nursery and Garden House School. She loves riding and being in the countryside with friends.  

Some of the continuous professional development she has recently completed at Little owls includes: Pediatric First Aid, Promoting Positive Behavior, Fire Safety in Education and Effective Safeguarding Practice.



Paula Perry - Early Years Assistant

Prior to joining Little Owls, Paula was an Early Years Assistant in another private nursery. She brings with her a wealth of experience and helps to keep the Snowy Owls room calm and inspiring.

Some of the continuous professional development she has recently completed at Little Ows includes: Pediatric First Aid, Level 3 Hygiene Award, Physical Activities for Under Fives.





Kate Cummins - Early Years Assistant

Kate works as an Assistant to Upper Nursery and is always on hand to help the teachers with a big smile on her face!

Kate creates and sells Jewellery in her spare time.
